Like a Tree

樹欲靜而風不止 [수욕정이풍부지]
나무는 조용히 있고자 하나 바람이 불어 흔들리고
Tree desires to remain calm but because of wind it sways

子欲養而親不待 [
자욕양이친부대]
자식이 어버이께 효도하고자 하나 기다리지 않는다
Child wants to show filial piety but parents will not wait
..................................................................

The two phrases above nicely illustrate the opposing struggles in life.

The first indicates situations where one wishes not to be part of, but has no choice but to get involved due to outside factors which one has no control over. Examples include a country being invaded by another, any type of accident, cancer, or even your spouse or significant other leaving you.

The second indicates situations where one wishes to be part of but cannot due to outside factors that prevent such participation. Examples other than the one given above include desire to travel around the world but has no money, wish to get married but cannot find the mate, desire for fame and fortune but has no opportunity, or desire to stay young.

In order to gain satisfaction in life one must successfully navigate through the two opposing struggles by accepting the situations as they come without giving rise to too much resistance or resentment. These are struggles everyone face regardless of status, power, wealth, or health.

You, like a tree, must be able to sway with the wind or else it will break you.

Sound of Rain

The sound of rain
Drops on the roof

The warmth of sun
Shine on the face

The silence of snow
Fall on the ground

If only life can be
So predictable

Life Is Short

Life is short
Not because you wanted to do so much
But haven't had the chance to
And there are many things to do

Life is short
Not because you wanted to have so much
But haven't had the chance to
And there are many things to have

Life is short
Not because you wanted to see so much
But haven't had the chance to
And there are many wonderful places to see

But because by the time you realize
That all was in vain
It's time for you
To go

Is It Funny?

Life is a comedy
No matter how you look at it
A masterpiece

And some lives
Are funnier than others
Just can't write this stuff

And other lives
Just not funny at all
To the point that
Can't help but laugh

Either way at the end
You will not be
Laughing

Wanna Move Away?

Here's a paragraph I found surfing the net:
___________________________________________________

"I Know from a lecture about energy needed to travel at the speed of light and found:
E=(Gamma)Mo(Mass In A Stationary Postiton)C2 (Constant/Speed Of Light)

Now according to this formula there cannot be an answer for 99.999999...%< as Gamma
Gamma=√1-v2 (squared) V Is the index form of the speed of light 99%=0.99

this 'supposedly' proves there cannot be a speed greater than or equal to 100% of the speed of light.

could someone prove this wrong..."
___________________________________________________

Let's suppose one cannot travel faster than speed of light but can travel "At" speed of light for the purpose of this speculation.

Here's the scenario:

Master Vader, after having won the Ultimate Championship of Golf on Earth, takes off in the Ultra Luxury Space Ship Lady Gaga at the speed of light towards Intergalactic Jedi Golf Federation Hall of Fame in Delta Quadrant.

Half way through the journey he notices Kendomaster returning from exile in a Compact Space Ship Volt at barely attained speed of light towards Earth.

Before Vader could say "hello" both space ships pass each other and are travelling at opposite directions.

"That Kendomaster....he must not know the Ultimate Championship of Golf is over. Always late. Poor chap," thought Master Vader.

Now. Both Master Vader's Ultra Luxury Space Ship Lady Gaga and Kendomaster's Compact Space Ship Volt are travelling at the speed of light. However, since they are travelling at precisely opposite direction each ship is traveling 2x the speed of light away from each other.

Applying Einstein's Theory of Relativity, speed of a moving object must be measured from a point relative to it's previous position to be exact. But that measured speed only applies to the moving object itself and not to any other object outside of it.

From Kendomaster's point of view Vader is moving away from him at 2x the speed of light. And vice versa.

To answer the quesion, "Can you travel faster than the speed of light?", the answer is no according to the equation. However, you can be traveling away from another object at 2x the speed of light if the other object is also traveling at speed of light in opposite direction.

So the ultimate rule in space travel seems to be that no two objects can move away from each other faster than 2x the speed of light, relative or not.

Is this true?

As The Beginning

If you take away
Your hatred
Your anger
Your desires
Your pride

What you have left
Is truly
How you were
Meant to be

As the beginning
As in peace

If You Dare!

Chop one large potato into 1cm cubes.
Stir fry the potato until golden brown in frying pan with touch of sesame oil. Then empty potato into large pot.
Do the same with one large onion chopped into rectangular pieces. Add to pot.
Cut 1/2 to 1 lbs chicken, pork, or beef into small 1cm cubes and stir fry in pan only to cook the ousides. Then add to pot.
Coarsely chop up one jalapeno pepper and dump into pot.
Add carrots if you wish.
Add mushrooms cut in half or quarters.
Now add 4 cups of hot or cold water and bring to boil making sure nothing is burning by occasionally stirring. Add Golden Curry sticks (the whole regular box) into boiling pot. Use the medium spicy.
Make sure the curry is dissolved by stirring.
Add ground peppers...about five shakes.
Let the curry simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Enjoy over rice with well ripened kimchee.

If you dare!
